Boat capsizes in Arabian Sea after hitting floating container

Ten people had a miraculous escape yesterday when their boat capsized after it was hit by a container, floating in the Arabian Sea, that fell off MSC Chitra ship after its collision with M V Khalijia III. The boat was coming from Elephant to Gateway of India. Ten people, who were in the boat, were rescued by a passing by boat. Over 200 containers from MSC Chitra ship had fallen into the sea after it collided with MV Khalijia-III off the Mumbai coast on last Saturday and nearly 500 tonnes of oil is already believed to have spilt into the Arabian Sea and has been seen floating close to the coastline threatening marine life.
