<span style="color: #222222;">The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, BMC will undertake a joint campaign for prevention of tuberculosis and leprosy from 1st to 16th December. The civic body said that the survey teams of the Public Health Department will go door-to-door to check on citizens.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the Public Health Department of the BMC has informed that under this campaign, 5,09,277 persons from 12,12,693 households in the relatively affected areas of the metropolis will be tested for tuberculosis and leprosy. As many as 3,451 teams will be working for this campaign. These teams will visit the houses in their areas from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM and conduct preliminary medical check-up on tuberculosis and leprosy.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to BMC's Health Executive Officer Dr. Mangala Gomare, suspected TB patients will be given 'vouchers' for free X-ray and relevant medical examination. While, Leprosy suspects found during the operation will be referred to the nearest hospital or clinic.</span><br />
