<span style="color: #222222;">The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will start levying fines of upto 15,000 rupees for illegal parking from tomorrow (Sunday). </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to mediapersons today, a BMC official informed that the fine, including towing charges, for parking within 500-meter radius of 26 authorized Public Parking Lots will range from 5,000 rupees for two-wheelers to 15,000 rupees for heavy vehicles. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He added that with a penalty for late payment, it could go up to as much as 23,250 rupees.The official said that the move aims to curb unauthorised parking outside designated parking lots. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also said that to recover the fine and for effective implementation of the scheme, the administration has hired ex-servicemen to assist traffic police.The BMC has 26 authorised parking places.</span>
