<span style="color: #222222;">The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to start a special vaccination drive for bedridden patients, at their houses. According to a statement released by the BMC, the planning for this is being done at an administrative level and final SoPs will be rolled out soon.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the civic body has today issued a specialised email-id seeking details of such persons.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The BMC said that it is working with the central and Maharashtra state governments to expedite the vaccination of citizens at all levels. It has also implemented initiatives like drive-in vaccination for senior citizens with limited mobility.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, there are many people who are bedridden due to medical and physical reasons.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Seeking their details, BMC said the process of data collection of people who are bedridden and want to get vaccinated, has been initiated by the public health department of Maharashtra government.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The civic body has directed every medical health officer to make door-to-door visits and gather data on bedridden patients.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">BMC said information such as name, age, address, contact number of persons who are bedridden in their homes and want to be vaccinated, should be sent to ' covidvacc2bedridden@gmail.com.</span><br />
