<span style="color: #222222;">In view of the deteriorating air quality of the city, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner today formed a committee comprising seven members. BMC Commissioner IS Chahal today held an emergency review meeting for pollution control, preparations for G20 meeting scheduled to be held in Mumbai at the end of March 2023 and the progress of the Mumbai Beautification project. He instructed that the committee shall submit its report on dust control within seven days and on the basis of that, from 1st April, the measures will be strictly implemented in the city.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The BMC release stated that the 500 works that were taken up in the first phase of the Mumbai Beautification project in December 2022 are now nearing completion. Three hundred and twenty works in the second phase have also started. The Municipal Commissioner today directed that all these works should be reviewed by the Joint Commissioners, Deputy Municipal Commissioners, and Assistant Municipal Commissioners of the respective zones, wards, and departments and prepare a schedule for completion of the work, speed up the works and complete the works like beautification of electric poles and footpaths, immediately.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''According to BMC release, a meeting of the Trade and Finance Group of the G20 Council is scheduled from 28th to 30th March, 2023 in Mumbai. Like the first meeting of the G20 Conference, which concluded in December 2022, most of the venues of this meeting and hotels with guest accommodation are the same. Therefore, in view of past experience, road maintenance and other necessary works should be completed on time on all the respective routes. The Municipal Commissioner instructed that care should be taken to ensure the availability of medical facilities and emergency medical services for the distinguished guests. He also stated that the inspection of all these works and mock-drill will be conducted on 25th March.</span><br />
