For the first time after the end of US combat operation two US soldiers were killed and 9 others injured when an Iraqi soldier opened fire on them in a camp. As per the security agreement between Iraqi government and United States, 50,000 soldiers remain in the war-troubled oil-rich country for consultancy and training purposes. The acts of violence are taking place as the government formation crisis is still going on amidst differences flaring up among the three top political blocs over the prime minister post. Latest report suggests that now US and Iran both back the candidature of incumbent prime minister Noorie al maliki as country’s prime minister.
