Blast in Women’s University bus at Quetta, at least 11 killed

In Pakistan, at least eleven female students were killed and several others injured when a blast today hit a bus parked in Quetta’s Women University. An emergency was announced in the Bolan Medical Compelex where the dead and injured were being shifted.

Hospital sources said several students were in critical condition. The attack came hours after militants attacked the resting place of Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Ziarat area of Balochistan with rockets.

Police officials said the attackers also opened fire following the rocket attacks, in which a policeman was killed.

Presenting the initial investigation report of the attack in the National Assembly today, Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the attackers at the resting place of Mohammed Ali Jinnah removed the Pakistan flag and replaced it with the flag of the Balochistan Liberation Army.

It may be recalled that Mohammed Ali Jinnah spent his last days in the building, which was declared a national monument by Pakistan government.
