In Iraq, 17 people were killed and 50 other injured in a bomb blast at a mosque in the central Iraqi city of Tikrit on Friday.According to National Iraqi news agency, the bomb was hidden inside a fuel canister at the entrance to the mosque where provincial officials often attend Friday prayers.The security officials have said that two members of the provincial council and a senior police officer were among the wounded in the blast. The injured have been taken to nearby hospital.
