The Government today said that Canadian Service Provider Blackberry has assured to address the concerns about monitoring of its email and other data services. Speaking on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Special Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr U K Bansal said that National security is of paramount importance and the company will have to follow the guidelines if it has to continue its services in the country. Earlier the Centre had warned Blackberry to shut its operations in the country if it did not comply with the formats that can be monitored by security and intelligence agencies.
