Most of BJP Parliament members have given declarations to the presiding officers of both the Houses, stating that they do not have illegal accounts in foreign banks and assets abroad.
One hundred and twelve Lok Sabha and 50 Rajya Sabha MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari to present their declarations.
Later talking to reporters outside Parliament, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said the NDA constituents would also file their declarations soon. AIR correspondent reports that Mr. Advani had declared in Jan Chetna Yatra that the NDA parliamentarians would voluntarily make a declaration that they did not have any illegal wealth stashed away abroad.
