Two cases of Black Fungus were reported following COVID-19 illness in Manipur. This is the first time that such cases have been detected in the state.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Information from COVID-19 Common Control Room said that these two cases were detected at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Shija Hospital today. The State Health Directorate has allerted all hospitals, health centres and clinics to report such cases failing of which may attract actions under the current Epidemic Act.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Meanwhile, 798 persons including one personnel from the Central Armed Police Force were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases in the last twenty-four hours thus increasing the total active case as on date to 8,942.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''On the other hand, 18 persons died due to COVID-19 in the last twenty-four hours increasing the total number of fatalities due to the pandemic to 825.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Meanwhile, 629 COVID-19 patients including 408 patients in home isolation were discharged during the hours. The total number of recovered patients is 41,782 and the total positive case is 50,549.
