BJP's Prakash Javadekar meets DMDK's Vijayakanth in Chennai

The Union Minister and the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election in-charge of the BJP, Prakash Javadekar today met the DMDK chief actor Vijayakanth at his residence in Chennai this evening. Both the leaders discussed about continuing their alliance for the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Mr Javadekar said he would convey the details of the talks to the party Chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and continue the parleys in Chennai after the Union Budget. He also said Tamil Nadu deserves good governance just like the Narendra Modi Administration at the Centre. AIR correspondent in his report says : " The BJP and the DMDK sailed together during the last Lok Sabha elections, along with the PMK and Vaiko-led MDMK. Mr Vaiko has quit the NDA and joined hands with the Left parties and the VCK for the impending Assembly poll, which is due to be held before the end of May.
The PMK is also noncommittal about its continuance in the NDA, as it promotes former Union minister Anbumani Ramadoss as its CM-candidate, which clashes with Mr Vijayakanth's aspirations. Many political formations are trying to get the DMDK into their fold.

Though the Javadekar-Vijayakanth talks are inconclusive as yet, a clear signal is expected to emerge after the next round of talks."
