BJP has strongly criticized the idea of formation of a Third Front to provide an alternative government at the Centre after Lok Sabha elections in the country.
Launching the party’s campaign for the next Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal today, the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi said that the idea behind the Third Front is to make India a third rate country.
He said that Eastern States have remained backward as these are ruled by the Third Front parties. Attacking the Third Front for encashing secularism, Mr. Modi said that whenever elections come, they start talking about it and never worked to ensure that the fruit of Development reaches the poor.
The BJP leader also urged the people of West Bengal to bring 'paribartan' (change) at the Centre as they did it in the last Assembly Elections to expedite development of the State.
Addressing the rally at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, the BJP President Rajanath Singh said that his party will provide a corruption free and stable government at the Centre if it comes to power.
Criticizing the Congress, the BJP President alleged that they are responsible for the regional imbalances in the country.
