<br/>The BJP sponsored bandh in the national capital has evoked partial response across Delhi. Though the traffic is normal , snarls could be seen as protestors are jamming the streets in East Delhi, West Delhi and Badarpur border areas. Markets in BJP dominated areas such as Greater Kailash, Vikas Marg, Lakshmi Nagar and Chandni Chowk are closed. The protestors are also forcing the shopkeepers to down the shutter. However, the Sarojini Nagar market ,Connaught Place and South Delhi remain unaffected.<br/> Schools, government offices and other institutions are<br/>functioning normally. Tight security has been arranged by the Delhi Police to avoid any untoward incident. The bandh has been called to protest hike in bus fares and skyrocketing prices of essential commodities .Transport and essential services have been kept outside the purview of the bandh by the party.
