In Goa, BJP- MGP combine will form the government with BJP winning on its own absolute majority with 21 seats and MGP getting three in the 40 member assembly. Congress got nine and Independents and others seven. Prominent winners include Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar, BJP state unit chief Laxmikant Parsekar, Assembly Speaker Pratapsingh Rane, Chief Minister, Digambar Kamat and his cabinet colleague Vishwajit Rane.

The losers include Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President , Subhash Shirodkar, Ministers Ravi Naik, Manohar Ajgaonkar, Filip Neri Rodrigues, Aleixo Sequeira and Churchill and Joaquim Alemao lost their seats.
