<span style="color: #222222;">The BJP has won the recently concluded Panchayat elections in Rajasthan. In the elections held in 21 districts of the State, the BJP has got an absolute majority in 13 Zila Parishads while the ruling party Congress in just 5. Similarly, out of 222 Panchayat Samities, BJP got a clear majority in 93 Panchayat Samities while Congress got majority in 81.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Out of 636 seats of Zila Parishad Members, BJP got 353 seats whereas the Congress had to be satisfied with 252 seats. RLP got 10 seats and CPIM bagged 2 seats whereas 18 seats have been won by independent candidates.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Similarly, out of 4, 371 seats of Panchayat Samiti Members, BJP bagged 1,989 seats while Congress won 1,852 seats. Apart from these, 439 seats have been won by independents while RLP got 60 seats, CPIM 26 and BSP 5 seats.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, it is the first victory of the opposition against the ruling party in panchayat elections in the last four decades. The ruling Congress lost the political battle in the home districts of five ministers including party's state president Govind Singh Dotasara. Congress was also defeated in Tonk area which is home District of former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">State BJP President Satish Poonia said that the people have voted against the State government. At the same time, voters have once again relied on the welfare policies of the central government. He said that it has been proved by these results that the rural people are supporting the agricultural laws made by the central government.
