In Gujarat, Bhartiya Janata Party has snatched the Kathalal Assembly seat of Kheda district from Congress. BJP candidate Mr.Kanaubhai Dabhi has won the bye-elections with the margin of more than 21 thousand votes over his Congress rival Mr. Ghelabhai Zala. After the end of counting this afternoon, BJP candidate Mr. Dabhi was declared winner by the margin of 21,547 votes. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that the outcome of the bye-election was a big setback for the Opposition Congress party, after it had already lost Jasdan and Chotila seats in the recent past.
