BJP veterans meet over defeat in Bihar assembly elections

BJP veterans, who had slammed party leadership for defeat in Bihar assembly elections, today held deliberations among themselves. <br/><br/>Senior party leader Yashwant Sinha met L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi separately at their residences in New Delhi. <br/><br/>The meeting came amid comments of Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Nitin Gadkari that the party will listen to them. <br/><br/>Home Minister Rajnath Singh is also learnt to have stressed on the need of engaging with the party stalwarts.<br/>Meanwhile, Shanta Kumar, who was part of veterans group in issuing strongly-worded statement against BJP leadership, welcomed the party's efforts to reach out to them. <br/><br/>He told news agency PTI that the party's response is positive and a dialogue has begun which should continue. <br/><br/>On the eve of Diwali, Mr. Advani, Mr. Joshi, Mr. Sinha and Mr. Kumar had said in a statement that the party was emasculated in one year and sought accountability to be fixed for the Bihar poll loss.<br/><br/>BJP MPs Shatrughan Sinha, R K Singh, Bhola Singh, Hukumdev Narayan Yadav and Manoj Tewari have also spoken out against the top party brass.
