BJP, Trinamool , CPI demand roll back of petrol price hike

The BJP on Friday demanded immediate rollback of the recent hike in petroleum prices. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, the party spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain said that this will further escalate the hardships of common man who are already facing the impact of inflation. He also asked the UPA allies to put pressure on the government for the withdrawal of increased prices of petrol.

Trinamool Congress also demanded a roll back of the hike in petrol prices as it would hit the common man hard. Senior party leader and Railway Minister Mr. Dinesh Trivedi was talking to reporters on sideline of a press conference in New Delhi. He said that his party wants roll back of the petrol price hike and their opinion was never sought before implementing the decision.

On possible hike in rail fares, the Railway Minister said that he would do what is right for the common people and added Common man needs relief not more burden.

The Communist Party of India, CPI demanded withdrawal of hike in petrol prices. In a statement, party said that the pretext for the increase in the price of petrol does not satisfy anybody.
