BJP to start Parivartan Rath Yatra from Jhasi today

In Uttar Pradesh, the second leg of BJP's Parivartan Rath Yatra will shortly be flagged off by Party President Amit Shah from Jhansi. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, State BJP Head KP Maurya and other senior leaders will also be present on the occasion. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that there is a total of nineteen Vidhan Sabha seats in Budelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh, out of which BJP could secure only three in 2012 elections. Though it won all the four Loksabha seats of the region in 2014 but it lost two of the assembly seats in by-poll held after Loksabha elections. <br/><br/>In these circumstances, this Parivartan Yatra becomes more important for the BJP which is trying hard to garner the maximum support of the people of Bundelkhand who have been hit hard by natural calamities in recent years.

BJP to start Parivartan Rath Yatra from Jhasi today

In Uttar Pradesh, BJP will initiate Parivartan Rath Yatra from Jhansi in Bundelkhand today. BJP president Amit Shah who has flagged off first Parivartan Rath from Saharanpur yesterday will flag off the second Rath Yatra from Jhansi today. This Yatra will pass through entire Bundelkhand before entering Kannauj, Mainpuri, Jaswant Nagar, Badaun and Firozabad all strongholds of leaders of ruling SP's first family. <br/><br/>Two more Parivartan Rath Yatras will be taken out, one from Sonbhadra and another from Ballia on 8th and 9th November respectively. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that before flagging off the Rath Yatra, Amit Shah will visit famous Pitambara Devi Temple of Datiya near Jhansi and the bus to be used as Rath will also be taken to the temple for an auspicious beginning. These Parivartan Rath Yatras will criss-cross all the 403 assembly constituencies in next fifty days before culminating at Lucknow on December 24 where PM Modi will address a mega rally. <br/><br/>Union minister and Jhansi MP Uma Bharti, home minister Rajnath Singh, Kalraj Mishra and several other prominent leaders of BJP will be present in Jhansi to kick-start the Rath Yatra with Amit Shah today. Meanwhile, the whole town of Jhansi has been painted saffron with hoardings, banners and BJP flags on every nook and corner of the city.
