The BJP Central Committee has decided to send a team to Odisha to probe the multi-crore dal scam under Mid-Day Meal (MDM) Scheme. BJP national secretary Kirti Somaiya will make a field visit to Odisha on 7th and 8th of this month and submit a report to the party. He will be accompanied by Odisha BJP president and former union tribal affairs minister Jual Oram, Rajya Sabha member Rudra Narayan Pani, a number of MLAs and senior party leaders during the field visits. Informing about the visit, Oram told media persons at Bhubaneswar the true colours of the Naveen Patnaik government are revealing after the dal scam. After the mining, coal and land scam, the latest in the series is the dal scam involving more than Rs 3,000 crore. He said that the dal scam has outraged the people for it has caused irreparable loss to the health of lakhs of children, pregnant women and lactating mothers having poor nutritional status,
