BJP to move an adjournment motion in LS on price rise issue today

The BJP will again move an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha on price rise issue today. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday, senior party leader, Gopinath Munde said his party will urge the Speaker to take a decision on taking up the adjournment motion, if the government rejects it. Left parties submitted fresh notices in both Houses for discussion on the matter today under rules which entail voting. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, the CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said that the notices have been submitted as an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha and under Rule 168 in Rajya Sabha. The Congress has described the disruption of Parliament by the Opposition as unfortunate. Party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad said that this is not a sign of democratic behaviour. He said that it is up to the Presiding Officer to decide on the notice for adjournment motion on price rise.
