BJP to move amendments to AP Re-organisation Bill passed in LS

BJP has decided to move amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, which was passed in the Lok Sabha yesterday.

Talking to media persons outside Parliament today, senior party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said BJP’s Parliamentary party meeting, held this morning, raised objections over the way the Bill was passed.

He said the concerns of Seemandhra will be raised by BJP in the Upper House and will ensure that they are addressed in the Bill. He said Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj sought the audio and video footage of yesterday’s proceedings in the Lok Sabha but it was not provided by the Lok Sabha Secretariat yet.

Prasad wondered why there was a black out of Lok Sabha channel when an important Bill was taken up by the house for its consideration and passing.
