BJP to launch 15-day long agitation against price rise

Opposition leader in Lok Sabha and BJP senior leader Sushma Swaraj said BJP would launch a fortnight long nation-wide agitation against price rise from the first of next month. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad today, She said her party would raise price rise issue during the ensuing Budget session of Parliament.

Referring to Telengana issue, opposition leader alleged that the central Government and the congress party were responsible for the present crisis in the state over Telangana issue. She opined that this would be the proper time to start the process for formation of Telangana state as the agitation for the separate state has peaked now.

Responding to a question on the demands for separate states raised elsewhere in the country, she said BJP has taken the decision in favour of Telangana only after due consideration of all aspects and BJP would not support formation of any state in haste.
