BJP to hold crucial meeting on seat sharing issue in Maharashtra

Amidst growing tension regarding the seat sharing issue between the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance for the upcoming assembly polls in Maharashtra, a series of meetings are being held in Mumbai in both the parties to discuss the issue.

A crucial meeting will also be held by BJP today evening in Mumbai to discuss the seat sharing issue. This meeting will be attended by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

According to BJP sources, Mr Gadkari has apprised Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the situation regarding the seat sharing issue between both the parties.

While BJP is holding its core committee’s meeting attended by BJP Maharashtra in-charge Rajiv Pratap Rudy, the party’s Maharashtra election in-charge Om Mathur, State Unit Chief Devendra Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly Eknath Khadse, Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council Vinod Tawde and BJP MLA Pankaja Munde, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav has also called for a meeting of the party’s senior leaders.

Meanwhile, RPI leader Ramdas Athawale has said that they are trying that the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance does not break, but if the alliance breaks they have option to join either of the parties.

Similarly, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader Raju Shetty has appealed to both the parties to sort out their differences and resolve the issue.
