BJP will celebrate Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan's Birth Anniversary tomorrow as Loktantra Raksha Diwas. The main programme will be held in New Delhi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part. 800 leaders who were put behind bars during Emergency will be felicitated during the function. Programmes will also be organised in state capitals, which will be attended by state BJP leaders and Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states.<br/><br/>Senior party leader and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu announced this in New Delhi this afternoon. He said emergency was a black chapter of Indian democracy and the young generation should be aware of who were behind the draconian measures to throttle democracy.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports BJP which is fighting a tough electoral battle in Bihar against Jai Prakash Narayan's political inheritors JD(U) and RJD will try to corner for aligning with Congress against whom Lok Nayak had fought.
