The BJP today termed the alleged offer of bribe to the Chief of Army Staff, General V.K` Singh as unfortunate. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, the Party Spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy sought explanation from the Defence Minister about the action taken in this regard when he was informed. He also said that the General Singh himself should have taken action against those involved.

On the issue of reducing VAT on Petrol by the government of Goa, Mr Rudy said that the Centre should also consider bringing down prices of such petroleum products.
