BJP & TDP to fight elections together in Seemandhra with a modfieid seat sharing arrangement

In Andhra Pradesh, the electoral alliance between the BJP and TDP will remain intact and both the parties fight the elections together in Seemandhra region. BJP senior leader Javadekar told this to reporters in Hyderabad. After talks between the leaders of two sides, Javadekar said the BJP will now contest from 4 Lok Sabha and 13 Assembly seats in the region. BJP will leave Ichchapuram Lok Sabha seat for TDP, he said.

The two parties have re-negotiated over seat sharing since yesterday as some of the TDP leaders aired their voice of dissent over giving key constituencies to BJP as part of seat-sharing and raised concerns about political loss due to fielding of alleged weak candidates by the BJP in the region.

Earlier, the TDP agreed to give 5 Lok Sabha and 15 Assembly seats to BJP.
