BJP suspends three party MLAs for cross voting in RS polls

The BJP has suspended three party MLAs from three separate states for cross voting in the just-concluded Rajya Sabha polls. BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said in New Delhi on Friday, party president Nitin Gadkari suspended Banwari Ram of Bihar, Bhimsen Chaudhary of Orissa and Ram Chandra of Jharkhand for not casting their vote in favour of the BJP candidate or abstaining in the biennial polls yesterday. She also said that the Rajasthan state BJP is investigating the matter of cancellation of votes of two party MLAs. She informed that party’s decision has been conveyed to the concerned MLAs.<br/>
