BJP submits memorandum to Prez on Lokpal Bill issue

The BJP today submitted a memorandum to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and demanded to reconvene the Session of Parliament so that voting is conducted on the Lokpal Bill.

Briefing outside the President House in New Delhi, Leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley alleged that the government avoided a vote because it was in a minority in the Rajya Sabha.

BJP delegation included Party President Nitin Gadkari, Senior Party Leader LK Advani, Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj among others.
