In West Bengal, normal life has been partially affected due to 12 hour Bangla bandh called by the BJP on Monday. <br/><br/>The bandh has been called in protest against sharp rises of the prices of essential commodities. <br/><br/>Train and bus services have been affected due to picketing of bandh supporters on rail tracks and on roads at different parts of the state.<br/><br/>AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that three buses were set on fire at Hawrah and Baguiati are by the bandh supporters. Besides, three other buses were also ransacked. <br/><br/>Police arrested more than five hundred bandh supporters from various areas. However, there is no major impact of bandh in tea gardens in North Bengal and three sub divisions of Darjeeling hills.
