BJP sought to raise Koda scam in Parliament

BJP on Tuesday sought to raise in Parliament the alleged multi-crore scam involving former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda. Alleging that Congress was hand in glove and is trying to protect Koda, the main opposition raked up the issue disrupting proceedings leading to adjournments in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. In the Lok Sabha, Shahnawaz Hussain of BJP said that the former Jharkhand Chief Minister has only got a small share of the entire money. In the Rajya Sabha, BJP member M Venkaiah Naidu wanted a discussion on the issue of corruption in Jharkhand. His party colleague S S Ahluwalia said he has apprehensions that people whose names have been published in the diaries seized by the investigating agencies might be eliminated. Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal said the issue is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax and the law will take its own course.<br/>
