BJP today said that the smooth functioning of Parliament will not be possible if the government does not agree for a discussion on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) under rule 184 which entails voting. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain said his party is demanding discussion with voting only to know how much strength the government has managed during the last four days.

Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain justified his party's demand saying that it will expose the parties that had earlier pledged support to retail shopkeepers now joining hands with the government.
