BJP slams Congress over remarks on Pathankot terror attack

BJP today slammed Congress for terming the Pathankot terror attack as a grave security lapse. The party said the security operation at the airbase was most successful and drew a parallel with the Mumbai terror attack in which terrorist killed over 164 people despite intelligence inputs about its likelihood. <br/><br/>BJP Secretary Shrikant Sharma told media in New Delhi that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed the nation's anger to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif following the attack. He reminded the Congress that there was no such response from Pakistan after Mumbai attack.<br/><br/>Earlier, senior Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde questioned the government over the Pathankot operation. He alleged that the government had no system in place to protect the nation. Mr. Shinde said the NDA government should send a clear signal to Pakistan that terrorist attacks will not be tolerated.
