BJP slams Congress over GST Bill

The BJP today hit out at Congress alleging that the party was never serious about Goods and Services Tax, GST Bill and for petty political motives, it disrupted Parliament to stall the Bill.<br/><br/>The party reaction came in the wake of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi remarks in Mumbai that his party will back the GST legislation only if its three conditions are met. <br/><br/>BJP National Secretary Shrikant Sharma told AIR that instead of playing anti-development politics, Mr Gandhi should tell the country whether his party is in favour of GST Bill or not.<br/><br/>He said, the bill prepared by UPA was opposed by several Congress-ruled states, while the bill prepared by NDA government was mostly acceptable to most states. <br/><br/>Taking on Mr Gandhi for his criticism of the government on the issue of Pathankot air base terror attack, Mr Sharma said that he should introspect before speaking on serious national security matters.
