As the Maharashtra assembly polls are nearing, the political activities are pacing up. The saffron allies ended the deadlock over three assembly seats yesterday morning, with Shiv Sena settling for Guhagar and the BJP being vested with Malabar Hill and Ghatkopar seats of Mumbai. As per their seat-sharing formula, Shiv Sena will contest 169 seats and BJP will contest 119 seats for the 288-member Assembly. Meanwhile, talks between Congress and NCP are still continuing to finalise the seat sharing arranegement.
