The BJP today sought early Lok Sabha elections in view of economic uncertainty prevailing in the country. Senior leader L K Advani said the party requested President Pranab Mukherjee that the general elections be held alongside the upcoming Assembly elections. Mr Advani was talking to reporters in New Delhi after leading a delegation to submit a memorandum to the President. The delegation comprised Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, her counterpart in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and senior party leaders Jaswant Singh and Venkaiah Naidu.
