BJP seeks cancellation of coal blocks

The BJP today said that nothing less than the cancellation of allocations of all the 142 coal blocks in the wake of the CAG reports, is acceptable to the party. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, the party spokesperson Mr Rajiv Pratap Rudy also said that the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh should step down by owning the responsibility in this regard. Mr Rudy made it clear that his party will not allow Parliament to function, if their demands were not met.
On the other hand, the senior Congress Leader and Law Minister Mr Salman Khursheed charged the BJP with not allowing Parliament to function. Talking to reporters, Mr Khursheed said that Opposition is paralysing the proceedings of both the Houses due to which important legislations are not getting through.
