BJP on Saturday said that party president Rajnath Singh had not apologised to Muslims for the 2002 post-Godhra riots in Gujarat.
Party spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said in Mumbai that his party wants people from all sections of society to come with us and there is no need to apologise for any past issues.
Earlier this week, addressing a gathering of Muslims, the BJP chief had said that, if there had been any mistake and shortcoming on their part, he assured that they would apologise by bowing the heads.
