BJP today said that India has seen an unprecedented transformation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and become the world's fifth-largest economy. It added that during the years of the previous UPA government, the political decision-making was by and large characterised by inaction and policy paralysis. This was stated by senior BJP leader and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri while addressing the media at BJP headquarters in New Delhi.<br />'' <br />'' Highlighting the Centre's several initiatives in the last nine years, he said, India's economy was such that it was counted in the fragile five till the year 2014 and the economy was in tenth position in the global ranking but now the situation has changed. The Minister said during the COVID-19 period, India not only made 220 crore vaccines but also distributed them properly besides, providing the vaccines to other countries.<br />'' <br />'' He said medicines are being provided at affordable prices at  Janaushadhi Kendra in the country. He also said the impacts of the schemes including Swachh Bharat, Ujjawala and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation are clearly visible. Underlining that from infrastructure development to easing the lives of the people, new India has come a long way, the Minister asserted that India will be a developed nation by 2047.
