BJP has ruled out the possibility of government formation in Delhi. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is also party in-charge of Delhi, told reporters that there is no such discussion or proposal on government formation by his party.
His statement came amid reports that the BJP is trying to form government in the national capital with the support of some MLAs from Aam Aadmi Party and Congress.
Meanwhile, party sources said Gadkari has also called a meeting of party MLAs at his residence in Delhi later this evening. A meeting of AAP MLAs is also scheduled to be held in the city to discuss the future course of action.
At present, the Delhi Legislative Assembly has been kept under suspended animation and President’s rule had been imposed in the national capital in February this year after the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal government.
