BJP rules out of change in Karnataka leadership

Ruling out possibility of change in the leadership in Karnataka, the BJP high command in New Delhi is now discussing the compromise formula to ensure smooth functioning of the state government. Amid reports that some of the rebel MLAs are ready to resign from the membership of the Assembly, the Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr. B.S. Yeddyurappa and other top BJP leaders are holding a meeting at the residence of senior BJP leader, Mr. L.K. Advani. The party president Mr. Rajnath Singh is also present. Party sources told AIR correspondent that the meeting will finalise the stand in a bid to end the political deadlock in the southern state. The Chief Minister, Mr. Y.S, Yeddyurappa has already taken steps to break the impasse and transferred his Principal Secretary. Meanwhile, the sources close to the rival group say that many MLAs have given written consent to Reddy brothers spearheading the campaign against the Chief Minister to abide by whatever decision is taken by them. Reddy brothers are pressing for change in the leadership of Karnataka government.<br/>
