Bharatiy Janata Party and Shiv Sena today restarted discussions on latter’s joining the Maharashtra Government. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradahan and Maharshtra PWD Minister Chandrakant Patil met Shiv Chief Uddhav Thackeray and other Shiv Sena leaders at Thackeray’s residence ‘Matoshree” in Mumbai this evening. BJP leaders are going to send the report of this meeting to Party leadership in New Delhi.
Earliear in the day, BJP’s core committee met in Mumbai to discuss accommodation of Shiv Sena in the BJP led Devendra Fadnavis government. BJP has authorised senior leaders Pradhan and Patil to hold discussions with Shiv Sena leadership. Winter session of Maharashtra assembly is scheduled to start from 8th December in Nagpur and according to BJP sources, Chief Minister Fadanvis is keen to take Shiv Sena on board before the crucial session. Sources also informed that if everything goes well, at least five to seven Shiv Sena leaders may get ministerial birth in next couple of days.
