BJP today resolved to measure up to the people’s expectations and be the instrument which will redeem India. It also sought to attract regional parties to strengthen the NDA. The party passed a political resolution at the conclusionn of two-day national executive meeting in Mumbai.
Participating in the discussion on the political resolution, Sushma Swaraj called for greater co-ordination between parliamentary and organizational wings of the BJP. The resolution also criticized the Congress led UPA government for what it termed policy paralysis, creating an unfavorable investment and industrial climate and inflation.
Addressing a press conference, BJP leader Gopinath Munde said that the party was still to decide on its Prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and the name will be announced at an appropriate time.
Later the party held a customary public meeting where party President Nitin Gadkari and Chief Ministers of five BJP ruled states were present. Senior leaders L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj however, did not attend the rally.
