BJP today released its manifesto for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Pledged to provide good governance and inclusive development, the manifesto emphasized on education, health, creation of jobs, tax reforms, drinking water, FDI, Judicial, electoral and police reforms, but has also stuck to its old agenda of Ram Mandir, Uniform Civil Code and Article 370.
Addressing the madia during the manifesto release function party leader Murli Manohar Joshi spoke at length about the poll promises of BJP.
Party said it is committed to repeal aricle 370 but will like to discuss the matter with all stake holders. On the contentious Ram Mandir construction issue, the manifesto says all possibilities will be explored.
He said issues of policy paralysis, system reforms and issue of corruption will be addressed as a concept. BJP government will reform tax system to attract investors and what he said Tax Terrorism will be ended.
FDI will be welcomed except in the area of multi-brand retail and prices have to be contained, Joshi said.
New national health policy including National Health Assurance Mission to be formulated alongside modernisation of hospitals. Joshi said a hospital like AIIMS will be opened in every state and Universalisation of secondary education to be put in mission mode. Water to every village and water to every field will be one of the priorities of the government. Joshi said minorities need more opportunities in education and industry and the
madrasas will be modernised with by inducting Maths and
Science teachers.
