BJP releases manifesto; promises good governance, inclusive development, police reforms

BJP today released its manifesto for the 2014 general elections promising to deliver good governance and inclusive development.

The manifesto emphasized on price control, education, health, creation of jobs, tax reforms, drinking water, FDI, Judicial, electoral and police reforms. Party President Rajnath Singh and senior leaders L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Murali Manohar Joshi and Narendra Modi released the poll document at a function in New Delhi.

Party said it is committed to repeal aricle 370 which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir but will like to discuss the matter with all stake holders.

On the Ram Mandir construction issue, the manifesto said all possibilities will be explored to facilitate its temple in Ayodhya. Party reiterated its stand on enactment of Uniform Civil code.

Releasing the manifesto, Chairman of the party manifesto committee Mr. Joshi said, issues of policy paralysis, system reforms and issue of corruption will be addressed.

On the issue of internal security, he said the party will revive the anti terror mechanism and strengthen the role of NIA. Joshi said a task force will be set up to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks and offshore accounts.

The party leader said, BJP government will reform tax system to attract investors. He said, except for multi-brand retail sector, FDI will be allowed where ever needed for job and asset creation.

He said, a new health programme – National Health Assurance Mission- will be formulated for accessible , affordable and effective health care for all.

Joshi said minorities need more opportunities in education and industry and the madrasas will be modernised with by inducting Maths and Science teachers.
