The Bhartiya Janta Party, an alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab has released its Manifesto for the assembly elections in the state at Jalandhar today.Senior BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley while releasing the Manifesto along with Amritsar MP, Navjot Sidhu, Party’s National General Secreatry, J.P. Nadda and other party leaders, stated that the party is in favour of strong Lokayukt in Punjab.Coming heavily on corruption, Jaitley said that it would be dealt with strong hands and under the Lokyukta. He said the ill gotten property of the guilty official or politician would be confiscated and declared state property. Mr. Jaitley said all public officials would be brought under the preview of this institution.
