BJP today rejected allegation of political vendetta in CBI action against Kolkata Police Commissioner alleging that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is shielding the corrupts in Saradha chit fund scam. <br />''<br />''The party attacked Ms Banerjee for sitting on dharna along with the Police Commissioner. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said many TMC leaders including Sudip Bandyopadhyay<span dir="RTL">?</span> were arrested in the scam but the Chief Minister never sat on dharna. <br />''<br />''But now, she is doing so which shows that the Kolkata Police Commissioner knows more about the scam. Mr. Prasad said the agency is working as per the direction of the Supreme Court because poor people have lost their money  in the chit fund scam. He said inquiry in this matter was started before BJP had come to power in 2014.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister also said that investigating agency has power under Criminal Procedure Code to  take action without warrant.</span><br />
