The Bharatiya Janata Party President Rajnath Singh today reiterated his Party's commitment for creation of separate state of Telangana if his Party comes to power in the next Lok Sabha Elections.
In his Presidential address at the two day national Executive at Panaji in Goa, Mr. Rajnath Singh said, the situation in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh is quite grim and for a very long time, Telangana has not got its due. He said, during his tenure as the President of BJP in 2006, he had announced that his Party would carve out a separate state of Telangana. He said, BJP created the states of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh in the year 2000 and this time, the Party will make Telangana a reality.
The BJP President also suggested the Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states to incorporate life and works of Swami Vivekanand in school curriculum of their states. Addressing the delegates, Mr. Singh said, we should strive to spread the message given by Swami Vivekanand by reaching out to the people as the country is celebrating his 150th birth anniversary. He added that Swami Vivekanand was the first ever Indian who became the global symbol of India's emerging youth power.
