BJP reiterates on creation of seperate state of Telangana

BJP says that the Monsoon session of Parliament should be preponed for discussing important legislations like Food Security Bill and the Land Acquisition Bill.

Inaugurating the party's two day National Executive at Panaji in Goa, the party President Rajnath Singh reiterated his party's commitment for creation of separate state of Telengana if it comes to power. He said, the situation in Telengana region of Andhra Pradesh is quite grim and it has not been getting its due for a long time.

Senior party leader L.K. Advani is not attending the meet today. Reports say, other party leaders including Uma Bharati, Jaswant Singh, Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha are also not attending the national executive.

Dismissing differences in the party, senior party leader Shahnawaz Hussain said, Advani is not attending the national executive due to illness and there is no other meaning to it. He said, the national executive will streamline the BJP strategy for 2014 general elections.
